Open Thread: Game 13

Regular Season Game 13
Pistons (8-5) vs. Wizards (4-8)
Verizon Center
7 PM
CSN and NBA League Pass

Previous Matchup: Pistons 100, Wizards 91

Not much to say here...suffice to say this game is a must for the Wizards.

Pistons Blogs: Detroit Bad Boys, Need4Sheed, Motoring

I have honestly no idea what will happen with this team tonight. Part of me says they'll come out with a renewed passion at home and blow out Detroit like they blew out Cleveland last weekend. Another part of me says that they'll show up flat again and allow Detroit to grind away at them like last matchup. Being in a relatively optimistic mood, I'll take the former. I can't really explain why, but then again, very little is explainable right now with this team.

Prediction: Wizards 100, Pistons 95

GO WIZ!!!

If you're here during the game, give a shout!

Since I'm taking total blame for last night's loss, I'll make it up to the WizNation by commenting on the game live here!!

Here's hoping Arenas bitchslaps that Clark Kent showing yesterday and goes Kal-El on the the Pistons' collective asses.

See ya in 20

arenas going for 40+ tonight! 11pts 1st quarter so far.. I have FSN Detroit's feed and the play-by-play's goto "term" for a jumper is = gun. As in, "Rasheed guns one.. Jamison takes a gunner!" I really don't like it..

first half thinkings: okay Rip travelled, that bastard! anyway, I'm amazed the Wizards are within 3, because they were ice cold the beginning of the 2nd. Ah what do I know.. i was half eating while watching

Okay, just got back from family time here in Florida to find they're losing again?

What's going on Hype? How is this happening again?

At least the offense is seemingly back on track...

It happens every single game. They make a run to get back into it before the other team puts them away.

It's been a Wizards/Bullets story for years, going all the way back to the Tracy Murray era.

Haha, and the Pistons are kinda toying with the lead from time to time.

What can we say, Wizards fans are used to these types of games.

These last couple games (Houston, Memphis, Detroit) bring me back to the 1998-2000 years of mediocrity. Every single game, it felt like the Wizards fell behind, brought it back to within 6 or 7 (always with a Tracy Murray three, by the way...this was simply uncanny), and then the other team would put them away. Wizards fans are used to false hope like this. What can we say.

Anyway, I think you've officially made up to Wizards nation with this game thread. Consider yourself absolved of all sin!

By the way, this last little comeback can only be described as "Wizards-like"
